In our pursuit to continue testing and improving our processes, we have come across and issue that MAY or MAY NOT affect your COLUM.

Upon testing a few of our defective (Mostly aesthetic/fit and finish) units - after washing with soap/water, and a few brews, we’ve noticed a subtle metallic flavor in the cup.

This can be resolved with soaking the metal parts in a bath of 5% Citric Acid and Distilled water on our Recipes Page:

Deeper Cleaning

Dilute 5% Citric Acid (Any food grade powder version) in Distilled Water. 

Example: 40g Citric Acid / 760g Warm or Room Temperature Distilled Water.

Fully submerge and soak the COLUM and Filter Ring for 1 hour.

Rinse all parts.
